Photographs are a wonderful way to relive the memories you create together at Disney. But, before we learn the details, let’s make an important clarification. People get PhotoPass and Memory Maker confused all the time. Here’s how not to be one of them.
PhotoPass the name of Disney’s photography division. Photopass sells a lot of photo products — just like Shutterfly does in the real world. One of the PhotoPass products is called Memory Maker. Memory Maker is a digital download of ALL photos taken of you by Disney’s PhotoPass. See the distinction?

First-- let’s look at where you can have pictures taken.
Then, we’ll look at how you may purchase them - single photos, mugs or Memory Maker.

Disney's PhotoPass Magic Shots
Mickey, Minnie Cap’t Hook, Lilo, Stitch, Tinker Bell and more have all found themselves magically superimposed into guest’s photographs. If the PhotoPass photographer asks you to look at a certain spot with a look of surprise, or cup your hands - this is why.
Now that we’ve looked at how to get pictures taken, let’s look at how to get them home.

Linking Photos to your My Disney Experience Account
When your photo is taken, the PhotoPass photographer will scan either your MagicBand, or park ticket. Since your MagicBand or park ticket is already linked to your My Disney Experience -- your photos will now also be linked to your PhotoPass account.

Photo Sharing
Folks traveling together can both add and view photos from the same PhotoPass account. So, if you are at the pool while Aunt Clara is sliding down Splash Mountain, she can add the photo to the account so that you all can see it.
If everyone is listed on THE SAME My Disney Experience account, photos are added simply by scanning individual MagicBands. If folks have SEPARATE My Disney Experience accounts, you can still share. First, your My Disney Experience accounts must be linked. Then, on the Friends and Family page, make sure you
all check the options that allows photo sharing.

Disney's PhotoPass Tips

Ask them to Use Your Own Camera as well - Not only may your camera be of higher quality than Disney's, but if you decide not to purchase PhotoPass or any modifications, you will still have all the pictures on your own camera.
Disney's PhotoPass Photographers are *not* professionals - Some Disney's PhotoPass photographers will inevitably be better than others. It's better to be thrilled with 1 out of 25 photos with Cinderella Castle in the background than to not be happy with just the one you got. Asking for multiple shots increases the chances that you will get a good picture.
